Given a date, how to find the beginning date and ending date of week,month and year

Hi,

i have a date(format 10/5/2011) how will i find the beginning date and end date of that week,and also beginning date and end date of that month and year.

any help would be appreciated,

ASP.NET has the answer: Get Current week starting and end date[^]
One of the answer also contains code for month and year.
