cross compling a C# code into objected c (ios) using XMLVM

Hi,
I am a C# programmer . I am interesting in developing a iPhone application. But i don't know anything about objected c :(. I decided to use XMLVM for cross compiling a c# code into objected c. Till now I have successfully installed XMLVM.
But i get problems in running xmlvm. It throws an error saying input not found .Is a problem in installation . Xmlvm is a jar file , what does it implies when a jar file doesn't get an input.
And It was instructed in manual that "ensure that you have write permissions on the destination paths, e.g. run the target as root."What does it mean.
