The best way is stay in tocuh with the developers, second best is to try it out with coding and the worst is to consume the marketing fluff ;-)

Basically, go on a course (best), or get a book (pretty good). They will introduce the framework in a structured, methodical way so that you don't miss anything important.
A course is best because if you don't understand, you can directly ask questions, and the teacher can rephrase things until you do. A book can't do that, but it is structured and - in many cases - complete. Wrox, APress, Addison Wesley, Microsoft - they all do good books covering the .NET framework.

The worst ways are trying it yourself and guessing what might exist (very bad) and YouTube tutorials (worse than useless, generally).
