Why I get error : the logon attempt failed ?

I have googled now since couple of days and I still cannot fix this issue, I have this error when I try to connect with remote desktop my laptop with Windows 10 pro with Another laptop windows 10 pro and when I insert my credentials I get THe logon attempt failed.

How can fix this?

What I have tried:

I checked in allow apps firewall the remote desktop and the remote desktop (WebSocket), I followed all this steps here : Windows 8.1 RDP log-on attempt failing to connect to Remote App[^]

I checked and did all of these links on both my laptops and I still get the same error.

I checked Event Viewer and i git this :

Audit Success	29.07.2020 22:08:48	Microsoft Windows security auditing.	5379	User Account Management

Any help is highly appreciated

Nothing, I just thought here are people with experiences of different fields and somebody would know how to fix it.

Solution 1

You may need to specify a domain in front of the user name. If you aren't on a domain you would use the computer name. Other than that, I suggest you contact Microsoft Support.

I would also start with the exact error and google that.
