I joined this site to download an "object spy" utility. Unfortunately the utility is written in C#, a language I do not use. Thus I'd like to remove my membership and all associated information.

What I have tried:

I could not find any way to remove my membership & info, thus I'm "asking a question". :)

Sorry to see you going, but you can do it quite easily:

1) Hover over your username at the top right of the page. A drop down list will open.
2) Select "My Settings" from the list.
3) In the resulting page, select the "Privacy" tab.
4) There are two options:
4.1) Under "Accont status" there is a checkbox "Close my account"
4.2) Under "Forget me Forever" there is a checkbox "Forget me. Forever."
5) Select the appropriate checkbox, make sure that "I have read and agree..." is ticked, and press "Save my Settings".
6) The rest is history ... as is your account.

I wrote it today, based on my (pre-GDPR) version for this site - it's a question that gets asked regularly so it goes in my boilerplate collection.

And I tried every step except one ...
Or you could just forget you were ever here... and move on with your life :)

That his right to be forgotten by the system, CP need to comply, is the GDPR law :)
