Im sorry for the question being so vague. But I am not sure as to how to put it into words...
What I'd really like is if anyone could help with some tips or the measures that should be taken while deploying an asp.net mvc application, like iis configuration, etc.? I am new to this deployment thing! and to resolve my issue I'd really like a basic knowledge on the matter

well I did that, but I am using a variable in which the error message is getting stored and it is getting printed with the command PRINT but when I insert or update the same value at CATCH, the columns stays NULL.
The same thing when I try with SET @errorCode = @@ERROR,
the error code gets successfully saved in my table

@Wombaticus : I do agree that, infact that was my first train of thoughts, but I figured that the Year of completion might be a good parameter to find out the higher qualification.

no i need to add test methods to the ProductController, to check the controller action., i am able to get thru other dependencies mostly by creating fake repository and fake service layer...but because of the inheritance, i get stuck everytime...

thanks for clearing it out, S. M. Ahasan Habib, but he(my professor) says that it is a web request that a controller renders and that it comes under functional testing(more-or-less) due to the many dependencies one might use inside the controller....im still confused as to how i am suppose to present a paper on the topic

actually, you just have to describe whether your project is a follow-on member of a product family, a replacement/enhancement for certain existing systems, or a new, self-contained product in the description section itself and then proceed with describing your application.

thanks for the documentation, but i have already followed all the tips.But my declaration of the partial method is in one class in a file (eg:- a controller file) and the definition is in other file(eg:- a helper file) of the application. And when i Build my project it gives me the above error.
My question is whether it is mandatory to keep the definition and declaration in the same folder???

DinnerController CreateDinnerControllerAs(string userName)
{
var mock = new Mock<controllercontext>();
mock.SetupGet(p => p.HttpContext.User.Identity.Name).Returns(userName);
mock.SetupGet(p => p.HttpContext.Request.IsAuthenticated).Returns(true);
var controller = CreateDinnerController();
controller.ControllerContext = mock.Object;
return controller;
}
[Test]
public void DetailAction_Should_Return_Detailed_View_For_ExistingDinner()
