hello sir, your points are mostly valid, but this is a just part of the whole code.
databroken, refers to the data been broken down into smaller parts and saved in an array. Correct the array has 6 value and i am using 5 of them. I had to do this since i needed to shift the array elemts to macth the list so that i use a loop, not doing it manually. Also each Size1, Size2... are properties not variables, in which i am encapsulating the input. temp as the name suggest is a temporay array so that i can sort the values and store the resulting sorted array in the list variables. my Item is an instance of a class with an empty constractor and the variables are name, size1,size2...size5.

Hope this clarifies more my code

hello once again. Yes i quite like the idea of comma separation and i implemented it in the writing part as sugessted by Chona1171. now i shall try and read. I dont thing there is a newline command in the variables. It it true i am using it to display them, but not the variables themselves

Since i am trying to learn C# by myself i am using some codes found online and trying to manipulate them so that i can learn. i found this code at http://snipd.net/quicksort-in-c and it works well on visual studio. as you said yourself a list is better then an list, but still it is not working. If you have the time to check out the link, it shows that the only defference is that it is using a Icontrolable array

yes i can use the default, but i am trying to understand better the quick sort using a list.

As you most certainly noticed i am trying to implement the quick sort algorithm, My problem is that it it not solting since all the conditions of the while loop are failing, and therefore Greater & lower are not being manipulated, therefore the main whileloop condition is never sadisfied. Thx :)
