I couldn't understand how to insert data..Is it like normal SQL query writing.?Because when we develop SOAP services we dont really need to write SQL query specially.We can directly save using entity datamodel.Is it the same in REST services?If not then how can we do it?

Hii,,Can u please explain me briefly how to pass in an xml to save it without a client for REST services ..For SOAP services I knew how to do it(invoke procedure).But when I run the services ,I couldn't see the method getting added to the service.When I use basichttpbinding I can see the method.But I dont want to use basichttpbinding since it is a REST service

Thanks now I got the point that it is neither a stored procedure nor a table name.But if I want to use SQL stored procedure to get the data from database by giving any parameter (USERID) then how should the code be implemented?
