actually you have to change
SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("select name,code from emp_details where uname=@str", conn) this line like this

you are getting rows from database so you cant use here cmd.executenonquery()

check your cmd string. is it getting value from database either check your
Request.QueryString["uname"];
