thanks Sergy sir, i successfully created excel file without using interop dll and open.
but now when i am downloading than file and then open it is not opening. giving error like "Excel fount unreadable content myExcel.xlsx do you want to open" when i clicked on yes show message ="the file is corrupt and cannot be opened."
please tell me how to make download functionality for this file...

i tried it doesnt work. function called properly and changed dropdowns value but in page usercontrols contains previously values
e.g. BE (course ddl)
and IT (sub-course ddl)

you can select count(*) as count from Schedule_Details where Faculty_Code = 'your faculty_Code(combobox value)';
then check count if count greaterthen 0 it means FacultyCode exists and show your message.

i have a user control MobileNo with one "textbox" inside "div (runat='server'). user can add multiple MobileNo control by clicking add button. when he submit(or save form data) the page i want to retrieve all MobileNo controls value (textboxes value) which user add.
so is there any way to get mobileNo control values

but when u select another item then first item u will lose.
because u r creating new datatable object each time when selectedindex event fired.
u are not storing existing items.
