same issue was also with our Database Server.In starting we think it issue related to machine.We lock a issue compalian to the concern vander but no issue was their with machine.After that we lock issue complain to the Micro-soft Sql Server,they check the server,analysis the problem and in last was that sql server using the full CPU memory.they set the Limit for Sql Sqrver CPU utilization.after that our problem sol.

Try to find out How to set Limit For Sql Server.

when you adding value consider '' as 0
take value in variable ,check if they '' when 0 then add values

if your table is dynamic then you first take query output in temp table after that use it as normal like this

When you store data to a VARCHAR(100) column, the values are physically stored in the same way. But when you store it to a VARCHAR(MAX) column, behind the screen the data is handled as a TEXT value. So there is some additional processing needed when dealing with a VARCHAR(MAX) value.

1. You can create an index on the fixed length column but can not create on the nvarchar(max) column. If you are using the column in where clause in your queries the you should always use fixed length column instead of nvarchar(max). This should be enough to use the nvarchar fixed lengthcolumn. I will specify others as well. However, index key length allowed is 900 bytes. Thus any nvarchar column which will exceed this value will cause issue and will be failed.
2. Memory grant could be a big issue where the server is already memroy starved.As expected row size is more the optimizer will
estimates more memory grant and this value will be much higher than actual required and this would be a waste of a resource as precisous as memory.
If you have couple of queries which are using nvarchar(amx) column and sorting is needed then server might have memroy related issues.
This could be a big perf issue.
3. You can not create the indexes online when the table or index has the nvarchar(max) column.

Problem is that when you use execute the below query

select * , ROW_NUMBER() over (order by AlbumName) as 'RowNumber' into #OrderedOrders from dbo.CountryAlbums where SubCategoryName = 'Rockabilly'

it returns 2 record with sr no 1 and 2 because you have only 2 row contains SubCategoryName name as Rockabilly and in 2nd query you have give RowNumber between 5 and 10 ,so only RowNumber between 1 and 2 will come.

Before 2 year we aslo use Sql2005 with Windows server 2003,after that we upgrarded to Sal2008r2 and Windows server 2008 R2.

Now we need move to Sql2012 and Windows server 2012.

So my opinion to you use Sql2012 And Windows 2012
