why you don't ask from database for that data which you need to show? the amount you are telling is a high amount and if you are performing other activities along with separating rows inside for loop will definitely cause to request time out which is the feature of some time modern browsers and some time IIS configuration.

last thing I would suggest you to use LINQ to dataset to filter rows instead of applying for loop.

possibly you are no longer able to reference "modal_dialog". As you did popup in document load complete event and when the popup closes, it moves the div and also renames div. Make a function which will open popup and call that function instead.

also "modal_dialog" will be renamed so you have to search for element something like this $('div[id*=modal_dialog]'). I hope it will help you.

as you are saying you have stored it in database and if there are 10 records for any particular list item, then you must use stored procedure to do that and return only those record, which don't have a count of 10.
