Ps.
In this particular example the code performs a lot of these tests which will mostly find the values match. Its looking for exceptions in a large dataset.

Thanks. That would work, I didn't mention that the program can use multiple monitors. Any idea if that would add complications.

(edit) was worried that a screen grab would only pick up the contents of the primary monitor, it doesn't.

Yes that works. I suspect my code also works. (but is less useful)

Found out why it didn't. I'm ashamed to say I compiled and used install after renaming to .scr completely forgetting that I had an old version of the code sitting in the windows folder and the control panel was executing that rather than the copy I thought it was executing.

Having looked at the link, I don't see why my code shouldn't work. Maybe I am missing something obvious as my .net knowledge is patchy. After some testing and adding more message boxes the code defiantly picks up commandline args passed to the program.

I accept what you say. But it does cure the problem.

I think what is happening is that when the b' curves are drawn on top of previously drawn b' curves the blending that takes place sometimes results in a shade that matches the forms transparency key and the problem occurs. So its not something I can control without adding a ton of complexity and probably slowing down the program to the point of a slide show.

I want transparent colours. I just want them on a black background, not "cutting" through it to reveal the desktop.
