Problem here is Treeview dose not a SelectedItem property in xaml. SelectedItem is readonly in codebehind.

i will make it clear an aspx page and an ascx page are there

i have done the design and coding in ascx page and registered it in aspx page

now when i click the botton the aspx page should close(so that registered ascx page will also be closed because it is put in an aspx page)

i think now u understand my problem clearly.....

the code u gave is not working i tried it...

help me with some other code...

ya now you understood the question now agra should be 1,2,3 and chennai should follow on with 4,5,6,7 this i how it should be . if another dealer's city is edited to Bihar then agra is 1,2,3 Bihar is 4 and chennai is 5,6,7,8
give me some idea or code help me only you understood my problem

you have not understood the question correctly if a Dealer has moves from chennai to agra then we are changing that dealers city to agra in that case the serial number has to change because the city is changed from chennai to agra ... agra goes on top so the serial number has to change accordingly please check the structure i have given in the question and more than that i am using access database

this how i am updating now .. First i update an empty string for the city changed and then finding that empty string and then incrementing the rest of the records and the updating the empty string

this should be don without setting the primary key because your records will be changing based on the city and the serial number will also change accordingly
