Ok. Solution 2 did the job but it was not giving me more options to play through. So i tried using exist() and few other data type methods and it fulfilled my requirement.
+5 for this solution.

Hey usha,
Is your table name dbo_m_city? Or Or just m_city? If it is later, query from either of our solutions will work. If it's the first one, use our query and before table name put dbo. Try that and let us know.

I tried both solutions that you provided. None of them worked. Although the concept of VisualTreeHelper Amazed me, it did not do any help in meeting the requirement.

Are you using 32 Bit office and 64 Bit Sql Server 2008?
If yes, Then it is going to be a problem. I tried replicating the same on a 32 bit sql server and 32 bit office and it worked for me.
Check this link for last post.

That is what i did. I created two datatables in a data set. Manually added columns into two different datatables. Under crystal reports updated the details under datasourde. Added two columns into the reports. Still no luck.
Also if i use single data table and drag the column into report, Then it will show the data, Multiple tables are not working. Do i have to do a subreport and then suppress both on one?
Please help me.

Check in the code where are you saving the image after uploading it into relative Folder. If you have the image saved and if you are retrieving the image from the correct folder, This should not happen.

Thank you for your reply.
The order ID is not a string but it is just a text box where i had a comment saying enter only integer. Also the same order id is a autogen value and a primary key. So even if i format the value, a val to val search should atleast get the data or if it is not working, it should give me a "convert to integer from string" error. but this is not happening. I also found something in one article here that when you pull the data from a dataset, to show it, we need to have a temp table created. But i am not sure how to do that.
Is that creating the problem? If yes, how should i handle the code?

The connection is opening without any problem. Also there is a table by name testdata with orderid from 1-7 with full data. I tried passing the dataset without the function and then it works like charm. Crystal report shows the complete information listed in the DB Table. But no luck when i am using a search function.
Please help.
