Hi Sergey how are you?time goes by fast but I think I'll have enough free time from Jan '17. In the meantime we may can start to collect what our article should contain and which recognition systems we would like to cover. Still interested?

interesting problem..I must say I don't have expierence with UWP but did you try to run your app as admin? In addition
this
could be an interesting discussion about your problem."The functionality described in this topic is not available to all Windows and Windows Phone apps. For your code to call these APIs, Microsoft must approve your use of them and provision your developer account. Otherwise the calls will fail at runtime." haha, MS would like to know more about your vpn connection first :D Regards

i would say they're technically related but for the practical use completly different and depends on requirements. CMUSphinx and other speech recognition libs are more "made" for embedded/local devices without an internet connection. i.e if you want to build a navigation system you may better would use cmusphinx and you can implement a "train-the-commands-with-my-voice", so if you train the navi with commands like "Show traffic" it's an "easy task" for the recognition algorithm and you can reach a detection rate of 98%. there will be a huge decrease of successfull detection if not trained words comes in because of the not enough well trained local database and you would have to force the user to train the db with >50h of his speak to reach a good detection rate if the user says (navigate me to (CityName and Adress). I think most people know that problem and you'll often hear things like "aahh, I'm going to type it by hand now, it doesn't understand me". Google relies on webservices and sure they use the users voice to train their databases and the result is a speech recognition api that understand a german (with pretty huge polish accent) completly, without any errors.cmusphinx could be as good as google if they would also use this concept. I really would like to dev an "cloud-based" CMUSphinx if someone would be interested :)

yes, the speech recognition on android relies on the google speech recognition api and unfornately yes, working with the windows speech recognition api from the .net framework is the first thing I had to give up working with because of the quality, detection rate and more things (as you said it's unfortunately really a big failure). Far way better is the
BING Speech Recognition API
but google's speech rec api is (in my option, and after much tests) the top of speech rec apis. Yes, i really would like to write an article about that, hope I have some time for that in near feature :) What demo application are you interested in (most)?With CMUSphinx? Björn Ranft

Hi Sergey, oh yeees I spent a quite a lot of time with cmusphinx two years ago. The existing language model for EN language is pretty well trained (unfortunately it's clear that it currently can't concurrent with "cloud-trained" recognition systems like google speech recognition), but there're many tools within the cmusphinx framework to build a custom language model and how to train it, the documentation is good for an open source project.
i.e.
here
is a recommendation from the dev's how to train your model. "1 hour of recording for command and control for single speaker" till "50 hours of recordings of 200 speakers for many speakers dictation" . so we need recordings for training :D ...by the way I waited years to get
this
, it's out now for 3rd party developers like me :)

"if Search is null will return all files". Do you use the search in your request? In google drive, a folder is like a file, so using the search with your specific file (=folder) should return the list of child files (files within your specific folder). https://developers.google.com/drive/v3/web/folder

Sorry, but that should be easy to achieve. I guess something is wrong with connection or Project "Name" Property (wrong name "projectname1") when receiving projects from Microsoft's TeamFoundation Server. Please make sure connection gets successfully established and do a quick test by receiving and displaying Project Names in MessageBox.Show() or console.

Hi Sports Kuo,
1. Generally,yes.
2. Don't know what you've exactly learned from SA before, but I'm sure it's right, I think he explained you a workaround to get KeyDown event in Panel.
Code explanation:
this.ActiveControl = your_panel;
//then handling the KeyDown event
private void your_panel_KeyDown(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs e) {
if ((e.KeyCode == Windows.Forms.Keys.Escape)) {
MessageBox.Show("Esc-Key is Pressed);
}
}
3. Right, the reason why there's no KeyDown event is because panel doesn't get focus and can't receive Windows Messages from Keyboard. Some Key presses are ignored by some controls (i.e. panel) because they are not considered input key presses.
4. Right, because the arrow keys typically causes the focus to move to the previous/next control.
Does it make sense to you?
With Best Regards

I've also thought about that a few month ago (again after years) ;). First reason why used SpeechLib in a project first time a few years ago was because of missing methods in System.Speech and many vendors still used it to integrate their voices (because of COM), it also provided adapting pronouncation/accent/converter for recognition. However, I've checked both and they still not completly merged. Second reason was that I've used it in context with automotive speech recognition. System.Speech is the desktop version and it's really improving your speech because of learning from the user (good for automotive). But a different requirement would be i.e a call center where's no time for training.I've used the combination of two to give the possibility to recognize something from "guest drivers".Greeting

Unfortunately no, Bitmap Class is only to resize/reduce size of Images. You can use 7-zip SDK to store uploaded contents compressed to your server, but it would be not a good solution if users must be able to "work" with their uploaded files because you have to View/extract their contents from Archive in each session.
