Hi SAKryukov,
Thanks for your reply but the problem is that i want to communicate with a device and that device understands only 0XFF.So when it receives 0XFF then only it responds back but in my case -1 is passed to the device hence there is no response from the device.What should I do to send 0XFF to the device using a byte array????

hi,I used Jprofiler to find out if there are any memory leaks in my application but it does not show any memory leaks existing.how can I find out where excess memory is being used???

but i don't think it is possible to reduce the size of an array once it is allocated.Isn't it
