HI
The part about the transaction on the server side was of great help. I should have thought of that.
But as far as the parameters go, let me repeat the question....
If I were using SQLPARAMETER and i were to write a helper function, then i could pass an array of sqlparams to that helper function.
if i am using a dc and i want to pass params to the helper functionm then how do i do so?
I know that i can use an object array, but i dont want to
thanks

Hi There
I understand that this would be the viable option in case my application was a web/ asp/net based app.
Unfortunately http://s.codeproject.com/script/Forums/Images/smiley_cry.gif that is not so.
I am working with the Winforms version of the datagridview
Thanks so much anyway

Hi,
Many thanks for your reply
So, I do the following
1. Store the object in the Node's Tag value.
2. Later when I need to access the properties in the object I simply create a new object of the class in question and cast the value in the treenode tag to that object
3. Access the properties of that object.
Right?
Also, can I store two objects together into the tag as strings?
Is there any way for me to convert these two objects stored as strings, back into separate objects?
Thanks a ton

hi
Thanks for your inputs. The problem is that i need an array of toolstripmenuitem, since I need to access the CheckOnClick & CheckState properties.
Let me show you the code from the contextmenustrip click event
void NewContextMenuStrip_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
var ObjectSender = (ContextMenuStrip)sender;
ToolStripItemCollection CollectionTSI = (ToolStripItemCollection)ObjectSender.Items;
foreach (ToolStripMenuItem TSI in CollectionTSI)
{
// August 14
if (TSI.CheckOnClick)
{
TSI.CheckState = CheckState.Unchecked;
}
}
}
Now if I use toolstripitem in the foreach instead of toolstripmenu item the code gives me an invalid cast exception error

Hi Sandeep
Thanks for your reply
You are right about the fact that i am making such an assumption.
Especially because I have put in the line using System.Configuration; in the class file in which i am trying to reference configurationmanager
Also, the target framework in my application is 3.5.
Any other inputs would be most welcome
Thanks
