If you see my if part, if item.selected == true then you cant select the node.
I have to make change, I don't want to display the node itself.

If I remove the if part, it works fine but when treeview is created it generates <ul></ul> list and nodes which are generated u have blank <li></li>, so the UI get wrong behavior.

Reasons:
1. jQuery attempts to retrieve the elements specified by the selector before calling the .live() method, which may be time-consuming on large documents.
2. Chaining methods is not supported. For example, $("a").find(".offsite, .external").live( ... ); is not valid and does not work as expected.
3. Since all .live() events are attached at the document element, events take the longest and slowest possible path before they are handled.

I got the reason why it is deprecated
So in short, .click() does not work for dynamically created elements.
In such case you need to use .on or .delegate() depending on the version of jquery, to bind the events to the elements which is present or which will be created in the future.

In my case i had records which null values for the MPD_DemandStatus column, so in my condition records with null value was missing.

But when i added following

Actually I'm dynamically filling dropdown using JQuery.
So the ASP.NET is not aware of dynamically added items to the dropdown.
When i try to get value of dropdown using .selectedvalue, it gives empty string.

Request.Form[ddlVC.UniqueID], solved my problem. it holds the value of selected index.

Even after using p(paragraph) tag, it gives the XML parser error [:(]

Now i removed the table, I have made use of panel.
Basic concept is, when I click on edit link in grid, the panel is displayed for updation process.
Soon I remove panel, page is displayed.
Not able to understand, how does this panel effects.

Actually what you said is right, I have taken an extra parameter @IARTWRKTYP whose value depend on @ARTWRKTYP.
I was not able to update value of @IARTWRKTYP in SSRS.
I have solved the problem by using case statement in SQL Query, which reduced the use of @IARTWRKTYP parameter.
But surely will like to know, how to set value of one parameter based on value of other parameter in SSRS
