Hi, thanks, I shall test i. Backward compatibility is always a problem for many to keep the head above the water. We do use both ASP and ASP.net. But a matter of interest, why you think ASP should be dead and buried? It has a lousy strcuture I would agree but it works anyway! Your comment remind me those days when we would agrue strongly against Basic (now VB) as a language for the low intelligent? In 1980s, C/Pascal/Algol are the 'good' computer languages! Just wonder what is the best web language now a day?

Hi, Thanks for the answer; I tested it and work as you said. Now I start to understand the difference between onclick and submit. Am I right to think that javascript function call is always exected in the browser and only send to server if it encounters a submit inside javascript?

Hi, while thinking about this problem, it occured to me that the key difference is in Submit and Click in this example. Am I right to think that the Submit would submit the data from the browser back to server while Click would simple processed by the local browser, that would explain why it behave different. Is this correct?

Thanks, I tested it and work as said. This takes me back to the sequential programming days of Fortran/C/Pascal. Remember in Pascal where we always put Main() at the end as it works in single pass!

I still has not grasp the concept of "submit" in this case. It did not have any effect as [Edit] added. I test further to try understand the logic and now it encounters a different problem when using span. I submit it as a different question. Please check it.

Thanks, I read (good articles) and tested following the suggestion of the article. It works with:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd">

Thus it seems that the conclusion is CSS will behave better with xhtml11. For Dreamweavere 8 user noted that it will put xhtml1.dtd when create new file; so you need to change it.

1. Thanks, I test it and the get around work. I have read a few articles in the website mentioned and it is a really very good site with concise solution to a given problem.
2. Perhasp I did not phrase my question correctly. On top, there is the page header line and it shows "Microsoft Internet Explorer" as part of the heading. This is the top line and I really do not want to see this Microsfot advert there.

The bottom line mean the PC window Start; this I can solved by enable auto-hide.

I have look the example you gave in the site mentioned and my setup appear to be as you mentioned:
If you do not have the ability to use WSH, you can use ASPExec or DynuExec.

However the two links you gave ASPExec and DynuExec can not be opened?

How do I enable the WSH?

The down to minite solution will do the trick, thank you. The trigger article looks very comprehensive and also complicate and will need time to study.
