Nischalke is right, rethink this strategy. if you gave an overall concept of what you were trying to do then we could think up a better strategy.

well yea that wasn't the only thing i took into consideration. thats why i posted this to find out any real other real reason to learn it. my friends think its lame to need a framework for GUI(i also use QT) and all support winAPI. i respect it but it just seems like you can achieve most of your day to day task on .NET. and its really not as bloat as most people claim it to be. with the help of garbage collection and things like that

Yea i'm just not coming across a lot of winAPI projects and every windows PC comes with .NET thats the reason that got me wondering what the point was even learning. i played around with it a little bit and really thought the coding was too verbose just to achieve a little bit
