Its not lame in my eyes, this is for an internal contact management application. They want to use outlook to send their emails as it keeps history (sent items). I plan down the line to use a custom built email form but that is not on the cards at the moment.

Hi, thanks will have a look, no not creating an email client its a webform with contact data on it. One of the text boxes hold an email address. So just want the user to be able to click on a button to open up default mail client once the details have been populated in the text box.
