how can I do it?

I have developed a windows application in c#, where there is 1 parent form 11 child forms. When I click on menu on parent form, the specified child form is opened and the menustrip on parent form is disabled. when the child form is closed, menustrip is enabled again. This is working fine.

But further what I did is, created shortcuts for menus like Ctrl + P for printing, Alt + R for Report, Ctrl + B for Binder, etc. Now when the child form is opened, the menustrip is disabled as mentioned above, but the shortcuts associated with the menus like Ctrl + P for printing, Alt + R for Report, Ctrl + B for Binder, etc are all working. I want that, for eg:- if I open Print Form (Ctrl + P), then other shortcuts should not work i.e. Alt + R, Ctrl + B, etc.

How can I do that ???

I want the first opened form to be remained opened, not the second form.

it works but the problem is that, I want to close second form not the first form. I have written the code that will disable menustrip control on parent form, once any child form is opened. But for every menu I have assigned shortcut keys like Ctrl + P, Alt + L, etc. Once any child form is opened the menustrip is disabled, but the shortcut keys associated with them are working. Either the shortcut keys should be disabled or else the opening of should be prevented(user may open more than 2 forms at a time by using shortcut keys).

The below code I modified and it worked well for me, but now There is a new query, i.e. I have created MDI Parent and Mdi Child Forms. In Mdi Child forms the same code works, but it doesn't work in Mdi Parent form, Is there any solution???

it is saved but not in unicode, normal alphabets can be seen.

by writing the above c# code the value entered in windows form is not saved in unicode format in sql. in SQL server if I write this
insert marathi SELECT N'नमस्कार' then by using, select * from marathi it shows नमस्कार in sql server. This query I want to implement in c# code in windows application, but not getting, any help plzzz....

In sql I tried the above query with prefix N then it shows the data as नमस्कार and without prefix N it shows ???????. I want to write the code of the Right one query in my program but I am facing problem, so how can I ?

select thecmbBatchno(combobox) on form, go to properties and check the text_changed event, is it empty or filled, if it's empty then write the same code again for the Text_Changed event, even if it's not empty still delete the event and write the same code again

why you want to change the cust ID, once it is given it should not change, display the data by sorting according to the location.

when i am inserting from textbox and retrieving there is no problem. But my question is that when we fire select query in sql server mgt studio for eg; Select * from Cust_Details, the results are fetched but in english, how can i see in marathi ??

In a form just take 2 textboxes, 1 button and 1 error provider control. and just copy the code I have written and run the project or that particular form.

I have used only one error provider, if you use two error providers then also it's ok.
But my suggestion is Use only one error provider, Make your program as easy as possible and it will not be ambiguous also. If you want to use 2 error providers then use it.

It is important because, it shows the data that is in your database. If you don't call this method in Form 2 Save button event then it will not show you the updated data. Get_Data is the method name I have given u can change it.

Yes, Because it is Runtime not Design Time where properties can be changed. Run time means when the application is running and the user is entering the Data in textbox.

That's ok. If I mention it in Form load event then it doesn't show empty space when Form loads.

If I set the Label text to Date Time.now in form load event then it doesn't show the time changing.

yes you are right I have written label.text = DateTime.Now.ToString() in Timer_Tick event. and called Timer.Start method in form Load event.
