i did same as ModelState.AddModelError("Password","Message goes here") as well as i am returning View("Error"). But it is not showing Validation summary error.
Method is HttpPost.

Got the solution. I was setting the label value from javascript.
firefox use textContent property to set the value.

I have 2 updatepanel 1 pdate panel has list of items and other panel has textbox o other things. when i select an item from list of item then i am refreshing the otherpanel that is ok it is working as expected, but i want to refresh the item also that is selected by me not the whole list of items.
