You can use Invalidate() or FillRect() functions to clear the graph.

Please give deatils like
1) clear button is placed on parent window or graph window.
2) Why are you try to destroy window instead of clearing.
3) What is your requirement clear window or destroy window.

then you can use a MFC picture control for loading image and you can set its size too. This link may be useful

If you are using visual studio class wizard to add variable, DDX functions are automatically generated by class wizard. If you are not using class wizard you need to add it manually.
