This depends on the router you're using. And you only need forwarding when you're doing NAT from private to public network.

Yes, workbench is an easy to use tool. But it is pretty useless if your DB is configured to reject login attempts from remote or your account is bound to connects from localhost.

The ^ only means negation if placed after the opening [.
Placed at beginning of RegEx it means "start of line" just as "$" stands for "end of line"

This RegEx is not correct. It would even match empty string. Actually it does match anything cause of '*'. You have to check from beginning of text with '^' to end of text with '$'. And as there should be a least one digit, you have to '+' after [0-9] as jim lahey showed in his solution

I agree with BobJanova. Maybe you could provide a link to some user manual of your scanner
Michel [mjbohn]
11-Apr-11 8:58am

That's what I said. My solution does not work because the scanner send data like you were typing character after character and for each caharacter the 'textBox1_TextChanged' is triggerd. So we need gto know if there is an EOL marker send by the scanner and marker could be handled in 'textBox1_TextChanged'. After this marker is recognized the data will be writte to DB and textbox will be cleared for the next scan
Michel [mjbohn]

not the barcode itself will be in the textbox. Just the string (digits and chars) can be displayed in the textbox. That's all the scanner will send

oh yes that's right. I forgott that these scanners work like if you type on keyboard. So textBox1_TextChanged is trigered for every single char that comes in. Let me think about it again

But OP has tagged C#. And because the question wasn't that detailed I showed both selected and index
[EDIT] You surely meant ASP,WPF etc to be tagged. Need more caffeine to awaken :)

Your Mdi childs got definitly covered by the browser control. Why do you need the browser? Maybe we can find a workaround.

OK after telling you that you're using the public key for both encrytion *and* decrytion and giving you a detailed example of how to use these keys, I thought it was obvious.
It was not. Might be my fault.
Look at this lines of code:
string generatedKey = Asymmetric.GenerateKey(1024, BATCrypto.KeyType.Public);
You build a PUBLIC key which you use for encrytion in this line:
string rsaencrypted = Asymmetric.Encrypt(BATCrypto.AsymmetricAlgo.RSA, "bipin", 1024, generatedKey);
Then you use the same PUBLIC key for decryption in this line:
string rsaDecrypted = Asymmetric.Decrypt(BATCrypto.AsymmetricAlgo.RSA, rsaencrypted, 1024, generatedKey);
For decryption you have to use the PRIVATE key which I guess get's build by BATCrypto.KeyType.Private

you should have a look at ServiceReferences. There's no need to parse WSDL

This solution takes care of null value, but won't solve the empty row prob that Sanjeewabdissa was asking. Nonetheless a good answer

If you'd like to store properties in way that users can't modify them, you can use BinaryFormatter to serialize data to file. If this is not the point, app.config is the way to do it, as suggested by d@nish in solution 2.

Just a part of a possible solution:
Form3.MouseEnter += new EventHandler(Form3_MouseEnter);
void Form3_MouseEnter(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Form f = sender as Form;
oldparent = this.Parent;
f.MdiParent = (Form)this.TopLevelControl;
f.BringToFront();
}
Works so far. But didn't find a way back yet.

I could exaclty reproduce this behaviour of the textbox.
But I have no idea how to solve this, yet.

Let me try to get things sorted.
Form1 (your main app) is MdiContainer.
Form2 is MdiChild of Form1.
The form with the "buggy" textbox (let's call it Form3)is another form which is *not* MdiChild of Form1.
Is this correct so far?

Opening port 80 would not work at all. Port 80 is at destination point not at source. But as you said, a firewall would do the job. and only a firewall

Hijust for my understanding. Why is such an app needed? This is issue should be solved by router ACLs or even better a firewall.

As I said, you have to add a ServiceRefernece to your VS project first. The reference is asking for the URI. VS will create all Types and Methods from the WSDL of the Webservice.

Even root may only connect from localhost if there isn't an entry in usertable to allow any host.
You can check this with "select User,Host from mysql.user where User='root';" If there no entry like '%' in the host column you can't do a remote login
