sorry, It's not the ultimate solution. Let's assume there is an assembly Versioning...:

"Versioning.MyVersionInfo, Versioning, Version=......, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=......"

What about more generally? i.e. "typing dark letters on a light background"? If I change the title then your alternate is off topic ;-)

Sorry, it's wrong. Let's assume, there is a type:

type="System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2[[System.Int32, mscorlib],[System.String, mscorlib]], mscorlib"

The algorithm with string.IndexOf(...) sucks.

And your vote of 1 was not needed.
