Thank You. I used your logic. Just needed to modify the code a bit to make it work. Did not use Console.WriteLine.

I really tried to do that before adding the image. But could not format it properly. Thanks for editing my question.

Below i will attached official exercise requirements. I thought I did good job paraphrasing it but as it appears that's not the case.

Hey Luc thank you for the answer but I am not allowed to modify tests - Nunit tests.
public static StringBuilder ReadOnlyLettersAndNumbers(StreamReader streamReader)
This part of the code must not change or I won't be able to submit the exercise to the program which grades it. Also, I am certain that the code for tests and test cases itself are correct since somebody from the course managed to make all 7 tests green without changing Tests.cs file

I will try to tackle it later today. This exercise exhausted me. Thank you very much Mr. Richard for taking time and answering

can you please tell me how can I force it to return the int value of the character that is stopping the scan? in the else statement.

Or maybe I am getting it wrong. This exercise confused me very much 😔😖

100 corresponds to char "d"
32 corresponds to char " "
I think it is expecting 32 and not 100

I see. Will update my question again then. This requirement was not written in the exercise instruction so that's why I missed it.

Thank you Mr. Richard for the answer. But it still does not work. Still only the same 3 tests pass as before. I get different error message though.

Thank you for the answer Mr. Luc
However, it still did not work. The same 3 tests pass and same 4 tests fail. Replacing
while (streamReader.Peek() > -1) with while (!streamReader.EndOfStream) did not change anything.

Thank You OriginalGriff ♥. After adding value /= 10
6 out of 9 tests passed. I am now trying to figure out how to improve my code to pass all the tests. Debugger is not working inside the exercise but I created new console app and tested there.

Thank You Mr. Richard for your answer. However, I was not able to make it work. I am trying to give public T Pop() method same functionality as Stack.Pop() Method of built-in C# Stack<t> class.
LuckyChloe
2-Feb-22 12:32pm

That's correct. I also need to implement 5 other methods (Push()) for example. So if I could get idea about how to implement Pop() I would be able to do the rest myself.

Thank You Very Much Sir. Your Solution 100% solved my problem. I was just wondering since I was taught that LINQ consumes lot of computational resources, would it be possible to accomplish the same thing with foreach loop?

This is the task I am trying to complete - https://ibb.co/58stjvz. The wording is so confusing that I have been trying to complete this task whole day and still could not figure out what they expect from me. I see what you mean Your code example: Console.WriteLine("Price = {0}, Currency = {1}",10.5,RegionInfo.CurrentRegion.ISOCurrencySymbol); will always return USD since my region is set to US region. Which is not what we want.
LuckyChloe

Sry I meant to write using ISOCurrencySymbol: (without RegionInfo)

I used only if statements together with math operators
