Seriously? I wanted to comment because I can. That doesn’t mean that I wrote the question or sent it via Skype or it reflects MY experience in C++. Don’t make it personal. It was just a friendly suggestion to post your comment as an answer and your answer as a comment. What makes that request a personal attack? I never questioned your claims about your experience. In any case, you wrote “ I have only used std::format on rare occasions” but your comment seems to be the right answer.

Again, it has nothing to do with me. Leave me out of it. Just tried to explain the old version and since it was fixed moments after, why aren’t you deleting your answer? But, its up to you. You want to leave it? Leave it.

This is not a question I posted, however I know what causes these formatting issues: (1) the question was sent to Michael via Skype, and apparently __ becomes _ (you can try and see…) and (2) other formatting issues are caused when someone uses Word to write code… nevertheless few minutes after Michael fixed it. So kindly address the updated version. The old version is gone.
The thing is: your last comment is in fact a good answer while your answer is kind of a comment.
These template error messages in relate to std::format are the real issue here.

That makes perfect sense had it been a comment but not an answer…

This is not really an answer but should be a comment. I also see the typos in the code (which you mentioned), were fixed.

Usually, this isn't the place to just ask the members of this community to do a job for you.
