The device list will only contain two choices, and when they select a choice, I want that choice to be stored inside of a variable named deviceChoice. In most cases, I want the list to be not visible unless the user chooses an option in another menu. IE, if the user chooses to "Choose Device" instead of "Modify Device", it displays the dropdown menu.

I had a colleague send over his version of the referenced JSON file, and when I upload it to the debug folder and build, that file seems to be overwritten by the new one.

How do I format my PostRequest in the console app to make it line up with the intended parameters? Specifically the, "await client.PostAsync" line.

When I use [FromBody] I encounter status code 400. That was my original implementation.

What does your solution "do"? Sorry for the likely stupid question, I'm still very new to C#. My main goal currently is to move the JSON string into my API with this
[HttpPost]
public List<string> PostString([FromBody] string input)
{
strings.Add(input);
return strings;
}
but when I do [FromBody] string input I encounter error 400, but when I remove the [FromBody] portion, it posts but the input value is null.

I had it in the original code and forgot to make it void when I posted the question.

Oh I see. Do I need to add a new method into the GeneratorStatusController or just use ".../GeneratorStatus/Post"? If I were to add a new method, what method should I add?

Isn't the, "await client.PostAsync(url, new StringContent(jsonMessage, Encoding.UTF8, "application/json"));" calling the PostAsync method on the client object?

That works, thanks so much! Could you explain what this code does?

I assume that I'm supposed to replace the JToken line with that code, but when I do, I receive this error: Severity Code Description Project File Line Suppression State
Error CS1929 'DataRow' does not contain a definition for 'GetString' and the best extension method overload 'DataReaderExtensions.GetString(DbDataReader, string)' requires a receiver of type 'DbDataReader' SQLiteExtractor C:\Users\MainUser\source\repos\SQLiteExtractor\SQLiteExtractor\Program.cs 140 Active

I believe I encounter an error because of the leading and ending curly braces in each of them. Do you know how I could remove them?

Great thank you! I'm currently using the IEnumerable<jtoken> entries = token.SelectTokens("$.Parameters[*]"); solution however that seems to ignore the second Parameter named Source. Do you know how to fix that?

Each datatable is different however I do know what specific columns in each datatable I want to alter. All the columns in each DataTable are strings.

What I'm trying to make my code do is take all the information from an entire database and store each individual table into it's own variable. I'm trying to use SQLiteDataAdapter now instead of DataReader and using DataTables instead of Lists, but now I'm running into a bug where each DataTable doesn't represent the Data from the table, but rather the table's properties. I've updated the original post with more information.

Ah I see thank you. I've updated my question and added a bit of code of that I've tried to figure out how many columns are inside of a table (PRAGMA), but I'm not sure how to actually turn that into a numerical value. I've tried using SELECT COUNT(*) FROM PRAGMA table_info(table_name) however that only results in an error.
