Unfortunately no, keeps returning characters at an index or empty string. I've looked all over google too, this should be correct.

Thanks for the tip! Maybe I was googling the wrong thing or looking in the wrong places, but I have googled what you asked and couldn't find the answer.
I'm trying to self-teach, so thanks for having patience in answering the question.
ps:
"this isnt hard, but you really need to read your textbook and apply yourself a bit" ->please read rule #4 when answering questions, I am already feeling pretty down that I don't understand the material, I have a pretty thick skin, but most people aren't like me and would give up. Please be more sensitive.
