I have a question for second point. If I keep mdf file in the App_Data, do I need to set up for localdb?

Problem was just template markup in the details view. Everything now works perfectly. Thank you for help.

got it, rookie mistake. It works now. Do you also know why it displays with the template and not just pure modal window?
