I am, _people is used to filter it. And if, for example Name is found it will add that specific person to a new list that is then suppose to display all the filter people based on text box input.

Hi, thanks for reply. Didn't have a chance to take a look up until now. I forgot to mention that the List<animal> animals is being passed through parameters as it is being filled in different user control and the filled list is being passed to the current user control that the random method is in. So does that solution would still work? and if yes could you please show me some kind of example? thanks :)

Alright cool that worked just fine :). Just one more question about the methods from solution two. I am not sure where should I call it whenever I want to display only the name or surname. Should I call it to be as: string result = randon.ToString(r)?

Updated the question, sorry about that. Yes, it displayed System.Random instead of actual name or surname. I have tried the first solution you have suggested but whenever I try to type in random.Surname + ", " + random.Name but it says that .Name or .Surname dosent exist.
