Before posting this question, I did a google search for the issue. I found both of the above links as well as many others similar ones. None of them worked.

Yahoo mail and gmail have changed the method to programmatically access email services.

In Yahoo email, I had to generate an application specific password. After doing this, the solution was able to send emails.

Also, I had to change the port to 587.

Thank you for the response. I thought that might be the case but also thought there might be some clever way to do what I was asking about that hadn't occurred to me.

I have set the transfer parameter "CopyAllObjects = False". Now, only the desired table transferred. This seems to be the important parameter for the desired functionality.

Also, if I set "CopyData = True" the data transfers along with the table.

The tables that transfer are not populated with data. Only the schema transfers.

Not all of the tables are copied from the source to the target because the transfer throws an error that has to do with the size of the target (another issue for another time).

I'm not sure what you mean by "parameterless constructor" for the transfer. Please explain. Do you mean NOT passing the srcdb?

Setting the full name of the dataserver as you detailed works. Thank you very much.
To do this, I had to add a reference to Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo.

When I try to get the InstanceName, an error is thrown. "Failed to connect to server"

It seems that SMO is not correctly finding the SQL server.

I get it now. I was trying to "publish" the application (what I am used to doing) instead of just building the .exe. Now i feel like an idiot. Thank you for helping me work my way through this issue.

It is a simple console app. Visual studio makes it a click once app and I can't figure out how to make it NOT a click once app.

How did you create the assembly?

I have unchecked the "Click Once application" on the security tab and unchecked the "Sign the click once manifest" on the signings tab. Every time I publish the assembly, the Click Once Application box is rechecked. I can't make it go away.

Apparently, you can't pass arguments to a click once application. So how did you construct the child process assembly?

I have confirmed that the child app does in-fact run from the parent, but it does not get the passed arguments.

It is a console application. The start-up object is the Main sub. Is is net frame work 4.0 client profile.

What more details do either of you need? Where you able to run the code I posted successfully? Do you have a direction that you would suggest?

I investigated this further and Alan N is correct. I modified the original custom class to remove the OnMouse down method and assigned the context menu directly to the underlying ComboBox. It works as expected.

The context menu strip HAS been assigned to the custom toolstripcombobox control in the designer. This is not the problem. Please re-read my description including the new information I presented yesterday. In addition to the original question, perhaps the more fundamental question is where in the application does the default toolstrip derive from?

So now the question is do I key on "Local Area Connection* 4" or "Ethernet" or "Ethernet 2"?

I do not have Windows 10 the development PC I use. This is on a client PC. Making troubleshooting all the more difficult. None the less, I will try to insert some code the determine what the adapter names are.

When I am editing my code, I do NOT see the small green glyph when I hover over a line of code. Obviously I am doing something wrong I just do not know what.
