Sadly I don't have the ability to get the screenshot - I took the MVC version of the site down and replaced it with a non-MVC version that definitely works.
In answer to your question, I get my webspace from a hosting provider. The site I'd published was to a subdomain of my webspace, and was working seamlessly in Visual Studio, hence my confusion about why it wasn't working when published.
This might be a silly question, but how do I convert the MVC app to an application using VS2013/VS2015?

To be honest, I was hoping that someone from Microsoft might be lurking and spot this. Or that someone had perhaps read something to suggest that the issue might be solved elsewhere.
