thanks i have a menu on my master page. When i am on default page it works fine and when i am on other pages like Order Page when i click over a button i does not load a page. because according to address-bar a link is look like

a pages increase automatically in it.

its just an example actuly i have two table USER and USER_EMRG_INFO which have one to one relation. and i want to generate both record from the same table.

humm yah. but i want to insert a new generated empid of emp table into a Dept table dept.empid on same save button. because i put insertion textboxs of these two table on same form. as i generate the new record an emp table it also generate a new record in dept table with a foreign key empid

i tried to follow you but when i do so then the record is not loading into the textboxs in the control. the textboxs and the gridview are an the same control...

i want to show the gridview data in a form can you help me with my code i try hard but it send the first record. because of dr.Read(); (some one told me that read() always started from the first record).

ya i know i am not export of asp but i stuck with it. and i just need help to solve my problem. if you can just correct my mistakes in the code and suggest your way of going so @RYAN_DEV

in the above solution we get a value and assign it into the textbox e.g the value is 7 now i want to make that value 8... how would i do so.

if i click the second record in grid view is load the first record into the form...
