I am new to programming and i am able to write algorithms but i'm making certain mistakes while converting it to code...i already wrote 2 versions of the code without arrays, but i'm just trying to learn my mistake here, so that i won't repeat them in the long run...thanks

Yes sir ,the third method you told me to do is very efficient compared to what i had written,but i'm just curious to know what mistake i have made so that i can avoid that sort of mistake,and i'm just a beginner in c programming.

sir,i,j,k are the general variables used for running the loop , while p,q are the pointers to the first element of two arrays.I have used all the variables of a particular kind as continuous alphabets to avoid confusion.

what i did is i extracted all the digits of the number x and 2x into two different arrays and then sorted those two arrays and checked for the equality of the two arrays...for it i initially created function which returns the number of digits ,if they are equal then i checked furthur by checking the digits else i broke the loop..

i'm extremely sorry sir.It is actually permutation i got confused with the two words..Its not a homework sir,i took this problem from codechef.com/hardquestions section

first input which i defined as number of cases is actually the number of different ranges between which you want to check.And the other two inputs are the ranges for each of the case.I need to find a number x such that x and 2x are permutations of eachother.I need to print all such x between the different sets of ranges in each of the cases.Thanks...there is no error but any nummber isn't being printed..so i am confused if my code is logically incorrect or really there is no such number between the ranges i input...thanks

Sir this is my 3 rd month of c...and I have many other subjects too...so I don't have the time to only concentrate on programming for now...and I'm 18 now and I'm not doing any job of solving any homework problems ...we won't be given any homework and this problem I have taken from our campus web site..which was under part problems for practice ....this is not homework ..I'm here to learn programming and you have helped me many times now....and you suggested Me to use visual studio few months ago....I'm not an expert like you sir and I don't even know the source of runtime errors yet and if I knew I would myself correct them and I'm not that dumb to post the question on the internet just coz of my laze :(

First of all this is not a homework..I wanted you to ask you where the runtime error comes from..I mean is it due to the breaks or due to use of more pointer variables ? If you explain me then i will avoid doing that, sir. thanks :) I am not an expert and this is my first program on linked list..

That doesn't stop my app from crashing.and even though we don't allocate space we can assign few values because the addresses are assigned randomly.i.e by allocating space for 1 float value we can store 10 floats or by allocating 0 floats we can store 10 floats.that's not the error in the program.

the code for which he used it is:

...
printf("enter a number:");
scanf("%d",&num);
printf("square of the number is :%d",num*num);
printf("want to enter another number y/n");
fflush(stdin);
scanf("%c",&another);

I have read in a book on programming that either a space or tab before %d or an fflush is required...some times while coding I find irrelevant results without fflush...I dint exactly remember that code where I has to use.but for most of the normal codes I don't think I use fflush...normal scanf works...so I just wanted to know when exactly it is must ...
