No, when you type to the AmountPaid column which is editable, let say for example 1000, the Balance will be now 9000. Meaning, the TotalFeeToPaid is the remaining balance that the customer will pay. AmountPaid is deducted to the TotalFeeToPaid Column and that will be the Balance :) Hope you get it :) if it is not possible to a table then, I think it could be in a datagridview, right?

but Checklist code is editable also. It should be updated whenever the user wants to. What the system will do is that to check if that code is already existing. but take note that the checklist code is a primary key in the table, so database will promptly tell that it should not be duplicated. so in terms of displaying such kind of error, an error message will appear.

the logic you have above is like for inserting new events which is correct. Now, what if the records I have in my grid view needed to be edited? Same form, so I copied it and put it inside my code and I change the query to update,. But nothing happens.

I am sorry. At first page, I have 2 textbox for name and age , a radio button list that has 2 choices: Yes and No and a Save button. Now, If I select Yes in the radio button list, it will be saved as 0 in the database, if No- it will save as 1. Now on my second page, I have a grid view. Here, it will display all the records saved in the database. It should display the name, age and Yes/No.

But only 0 or 1 can be found at the database when you select either yes or no at the form. How am I going to do that yes and no will display at my grid view. Another thing, if I selected Yes, it will save to my database as 0 and if No, it will be 1 after clicking the SAVE button. Also, the radio button list should not be inside my grid view. what is inside my grid view are only the records that has been called from the database.

You should have a relationship between the tables for you to be able display the orders. I think you could connect them by joining the tables. Read articles about joining tables. Another thing, what database are you using? Your question is more related to database not asp.net.

Thanks. The problem is it is FIXED at the center. When I click the ADD button, a small window will pop up. the color of the background for the original page is gray meaning cannot be edited all the info there unless you have successfully added a record by filling up the text boxes inside the small pop up window and by clicking the SAVE button. My permission to create a Stored Procedure is denied due to that I am accessing database from a remote desktop. We were only allowed to read the records. You're going to wonder why I am able to add/insert new records? They created us inside the remote desktop our own database for us to use. My answers:

1. the number of sub items will be based from the user input. but the user will not input the number of sub items. the system will just automatically create their codes when the user would like to add another record on that milestone.

2. I need to get the milestone_code from the database since the dropdownlist will display the milestone_name of each code. That's part of the project requirements.

3 and 4. Its only CC for check_code and CC-AC is for activity_code. They will be determined by this flow: at first page, the system will display a dropdownlist that contains the milestone_name. below this dropdownlist is a textbox for the check_code. if the user selects a milestone_name(for example is BOOKING), the corresponding milestone_code(which is BOO-05) of that milestone_name will be get to automatically create the check_code in the pattern of this,"BOO-CC-05" and then a save button to store the check_code. if the user wants to add another check_code from the same milestone_name: BOOKING, the check_code should be now like this:"BOO-CC-10". meaning, the system should validate if the check_code is already existing. if it is, then it will add another 5 to it. Likewise, a page that has the same setup will be for the generation of activity_code. same set up and process like the one I explained above. But there will be 2 dropdownlist for now. the first one is for the milestone_name and the other one is for the checklist _name. If I select a milestone_name, the second dropdownlist will display only the checklist_name that is related to that milestone_name. The check_code of that corresponding checklist_name will be get and will use for the generation of activity_code that will be placed in a textbox in a pattern like this:"BOO-CC-AC-05". Again, if the user wants to add another record, the system will validate if the activity_code exist and if yes, it will add another 5 to it.

I copied your codes but there is an error pertaining to the line:

The error message is "Index was outside the bounds of array"
