You could also send en email with the data in it. It really depends on how you need to see the information, and if it's something you want to be able to look at further down the line.

Assuming the browser supports it and you have the required phone elements you can use the "tel" protocol on a link to initiate a call.

Mobile browsers will initiate a call using the phone hardware, what desktops will do it debatable but Skype can intercept those and make a call and I'm sure other calling platforms can too.

Also check your browser console, see if you're getting any errors.

You'll have to give us more to go on for us to be able to answer that question - which operating system are you using? Does your AV solution include a firewall?

So change the firewall rules. If it's your own firewall, you should be able to do that, if a company firewall talk to your network people about adding an exception, even if it means having your supervisor authorize it.

Windows 10 isn't a browser - are you having problems in Edge? IE 11? Chrome?

Which SQL server version are you using? I'm not 100% sure but I think the max size for VarBinary may have changed over the years, but my memory is telling me 2GB.

Bit wary of doing that with something that's more or less just informational - been jumped on for doing it in the past.

Couple of things. First, and it's not the problem that you're asking about, don't use string concatenation to build your query string - use parameters instead, consistently and not just for some columns.

As to your question, you'll need to check the max length of the columns in your database, and the size of the data your trying to save. One or more of the data items is bigger than the field you're trying to store it in, but without knowing the table structure or the data you're using we can't tell you which.

It's safe to say there's a "fault" in his reasoning...

Sure, if you need something more immediate you can put together an event receiver that pushes the data to another database.

Why not use gamecenter? it's designed for leaderboards and achievements and to allow players to see what their friends are doing.

My example wasn't referring to metadata, or at least that wasn't my intent - i just used Tablename and ColumnName because I didn't know the data domain the requester was working in. I've just added a working example based on a table with defined columns, tested on a SQL server database.

That's the only way I can read the question. Without having a schema to work with I jut used generic names for table and column. What's your interpretation? English is an odd language sometimes and maybe I misinterpreted it.

You can also limit your query to just the permission you need to check and have a single row returned. Rather than the concatenated row that has all permissions, edit your query just to find "Does user x have edit permission?" when in an edit scenario, or "does user y have read permission?" - either would return the single row you need for the situation at hand.

In addition, you can also cache the data at the web server so that you're not constantly hitting the database.

Which platform are you pushing to? I think both Google and Apple support some kind of grouping mechanism that would allow you to send a single message to the entire group (or all application users) rather than needing to send to each individual client.

I'm not familiar with PushSharp but it would likely support that scenario too.

Do you actually have data in that week?

If you don't and you want the week to appear anyway, you may be better off using a table that contains the weeks and the relevant date ranges and joining that in the query. The grouping and sum structure would stay the same but there's be no need for the math on the dates to sort out the ends of the weeks.

Do you need to give your project any permissions? Perhaps INTERNET?

There should be no reason why your code being written in notepad would stop it working.

I just copied the sample from the quick start, saved it to my machine (test.html) and opened the file. Chrome opens and displays, IE throws a warning about blocking scripts which only seems to be an issue if you open the file directly rather than using a web server - probably a security precaution to stop malicious scripts running on the local machine.

If you;re still having problems, I;d try using Chrome or setting up a web server and serving the files that way. If that still doesn't work then post your code, and checkl the console log in the browser for errors.

Might also be helpful here to know which OS you're targeting.

How do the two tables link? you table defs won't work for us because you don;t include the employees table.

Here's a quick and dirty query that shows the method I would use to handle the question based on one of your tables:

Code 39 supports uppercase letters (A through Z), numeric digits (0 through 9) and a special characters (-, ., $, /, +, %, and space). If your content contains anything other than those then that's likely your problem.

Make sure that txtCode only allows entry of the characters listed above.

You might want to format that code some so we can see the structure more easily (Code project allows you to select text and mark it as code, which will format for you). Also any information about the error you're getting would be useful too else all you'll get is speculation.

You know as well as I do that the first question people are going to ask is "what error are you getting?"

I'm guessing the first problem is that you should be replacing "PageID" with the ID of the page whose albums you're trying to access. So PageID + "/albums" instead of "PageID/albums"

I believe if you use a formula instead of a fixed value you can set the formula to CurrentDate. Been a while since I used CR though.

Perhaps BigRock's customer support would be of more help. Can;t see anything obvious n their help section and without a user account we can;t see what's available in the control panel.

If you include the XML from your layout we can see more clearly what's going on and give you some more direction.

What you'll need to watch is that Android Studio has only relatively recently become the "Standard" as suggested by Google so a lot of the older content will be based on Eclipse. The concepts and code transfer between the two, but the IDE's are different so you'll need to do a little translation or be selective in the articles you use.
