... So I activated google's xss to format the code. The Update Function is part of the Form. It just redraws the areas for the user. I wanted to illustrate, that the thread does'nt work the way I want it to.

It would be helpful to tell us, what kind of system you're working with, if you use a sql server or a local db etc.

Which environment are you working with?
Usually the standard name is "Form1" (upper case) not "form1", this is confusing me a bit. The order of commands in the event handler doesn't matter in this case.

I Try to follow you but i don't know how far you are.
