The issue is that the "master map", needs to show the locations found.
And I'm actually surprised that the Bing Maps control, don't have the features to handle that much data, (or load it in a better way)

Agreed! Any fiddling with OS volume can only lead to disaster.
But I was more after what level I should set my audio settings at while testing and leveling audio files.

Wow, thank you for spending that much effort on this!
It really helped to know that the code was basically sound. After seeing how your code worked, I did some "writelines" and I missed a fundamental thing:
Breaking out of the innermost loop when the if was true. Very noob mistake

Why would you want to calculate these things?
And 1 class is all you need, though I recomend using a bunch of functions/methods to sort the functionality.
I belive what you are trying to achive is something that's not too hard, (calculations/math is simple enough), but you formulated this badly, so I recommend That you read some bacground on network protocols, and ask more expansivly.
Most of us are happy to help, but we need to understand the problem to help :-)

Though technically not an answer, you found the flaw, I mixed up radians/degrees
Frank R. Haugen

Facepalm!, (actually a double, since the GF also felt like an idiot).
though your answer is correct, the solution is:
r * Math.Sin((Math.PI / 180) * θ) * Math.Cos((Math.PI / 180) * ϕ)
I never use radians in the math I do, (not that I do math that much), so no wonder the result was wacky.
Thank you!

Ah, it collects data from a database, and uses it to display data on an "attractive" interface, (It would be simpler to use ListViews and DataGrids).
Example: A company has a set of users that have a given amount of credit available, this uses e.g. a stack of labels to be displayed. To change the value of the entire set of users, the controls used to display data, at the push of a button, changes to editable controls e.g. textboxes

You don't agree?? In terms of pure "text" data, it's, in my humble opinion, as good as it gets. It's flexible, visual. However, the pure speed of a SQL database, has it's merits

Are you using a standard "install wizard", or are you using one you made yourself?
Most programs has it's "authentication", done inside it. I would assume that this would be more secure, (a hardcoded function calling an online database, would be quite simple. If you MUST have the authentication in your installation wizard, why not make your own, (or download someone else's source code for one)

Well, I had the need for something doing it, and I did it quick and dirty ;-)
But you are right, I don't know the intricacies of of every facet of this kind of thing, which is why I ask.
But to be fair, you are one of the most, (if not THE most), respected member of this community, so compared to you I'm clueless.
I have had an enormously bad formal education in software development, and most my experience has been PHP and VB6 -related. I am getting there, but please be patient with me and those like me, who ask because we don't understand, but are attempting to improve ourselves.
You really come off snide and condescending in this comment

You should tag this as ASP and/or Web-related
Have you tried using something else than "file length"?
And, I haven't any experience with ASP, but in doesn't C# for ASP come with an exception "handler", so you can print to screen the exeption-"string"?

I have no idea what you are talking about, please expand upon this. You ask a question about "capturing" a website, and then you talk about code you "received". Then you ask "how do I do that". I can't interpret this, what are you asking about? And are you asking about using "Ajax"? the answer for learning/using Ajax is YouTube, (there are great tutorials in plenty of languages, (judging from the site you have referred to, I expect you don't have English as a mother tongue), just search for what technology or programming related subject you want to learn more about, and you'll probably find something matching your needs at once

Thanks! I would say that "awesome" is a better exclamation than cool, rad etc.
Whenever I see "like" used in a non-apropriate context, I can't but see the image of a teen girl going "... but then like Jessica said she like liked Tom, and I was like LOOOL! for like me and Tom is like an item and stuff". But enough off-topic for now ;-)

Just to be a nitpicker: many pdf templates use html for formatting, as it is excellent for creating the layout of a page of a document; it's as if it was designed for that job ;-)
He has apparently made his own pdf template for some pdf-creating library, and it does not support "list"-tags, he wanna know what is wrong with it.
But alas, we can't know how he's generating his pdf('s), so no way to help him

Protip: Use "e.g." instead of "like". Using "like" is a horrible thing teens in the U.S. use in their vernacular.
I'm not sure if I get your problem, are you removing all rows with a lower value than the "countdown"? Would this be something akin to a multiple stopwatch, having many 'counters' counting down, (or up)?
An idea what you are trying to achieve in a more broader sense, would be appreciated!

Now that's fascinating!
Now just reflecting on this, in terms of teaching, this would be an infinitely powerful tool.
I might also suggest that logic gate "programming" is an effective but boring way to do the simple stuff, and then make it more complex by "leveling up" the abstraction level step by step, (some cheating involved)

I might have assumed "keyword" meant the same to others as it did to the guys I've been working with. From my mental "definition" of a "keyword" is any word that 'does' something; this include functions, operators, etc.

Problem with VNC is the sheer data amount due to the transfer of image data. (I have yet to find one that's non-visual). It's the latency in remote desktop and VNCs that's the problem, considering that this is for gaming, and video is already transmitted separably.
Thanks anyway!

Why is how the XML looks important to you? Normally one does not see the XML-code in a program or web-page. How it's formatted/nested isn't usually an issue for XML reader/handlers.

Now the term "cloud computing" isn't really well-defined, or rather it's an umbrella-term for many ways of doing different things over a WAN.
WoW might be seen as a "cloud"-service, so the usual server-clients model is the way to go, unless you have some needs that are on a gargantuan scale.

I'd love to see more comments, to make everything more readable; you probably see a lot more order in all this then I do, just looking at it.
As I understand it you want to "add" a textbox element during "runtime". Then why don't you just have it "invisible" until you change it's attributes to show it, and move it to the desired location when appropriate?

It's the database which is the problem, I have values like "sdM4" where I need the "M" which corresponds to a grouping/coloring. If I had infinite time I'd go through the 100K+ rows and corrected it, I as I don't, I'll need to get a quicker fix. You have another idea, I'll be happy to listen, for at this point I'm getting quite frustrated.
BTW: in my part of the world the "F-word" isn't considered obscene.
