Yes this way will require several transactions, that why want to send list directly into procedure then iterate list with in procedure. it will minimize no.of database calls.
I have already did such task in java projects with oracle types and Array Descriptors
create or replace type person
AS
object
(
FIRSTNAME VARCHAR2(20),
LASTNAME VARCHAR2(20),
ID NUMBER
) ;
create or replace type RELATIONSHIPS
AS
object
(
ID NUMBER,
RELATED_ID NUMBER,
RELATIONSHIP VARCHAR2(40) ) ;
create or replace type RELATIONSHIPS_AARRAY as table of RELATIONSHIPS;
Then iterate like
FOR l_row IN 1 .. Relationship.COUNT
LOOP
DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line (parents (l_row));
END LOOP;
only problem is how to match oracle type(array) with C# list

I have used below code,
1)InputStream in = null;
2)in = new URL(service.getURL("file://c:/images/flower.jpg")).openStream();
3)int bytes = in.read(b);
I have deployed this code in tomcat server which works fine and displays the image.
same code has been deployed in jboss-4.2.1.GA server, which throws a null point exception in line no 3.
What is that problem, how to solve this problem help me.

Actually the my code loading the data from the excel and have to insert that data into table. If user put string values instead of integer value in the(Excel Column) excel file. That time, I have to show the error message to the user as "String value cannot be accepted in int type column with column name". i was able to get the error message but need to show the column name with that message.
Ex : I can able to get column name while catching SqlException "Received an invalid column length" using below code.
string pattern = @"\d+";
////return ex.me
Match match = Regex.Match(ex.Message.ToString(), pattern);
var index = Convert.ToInt32(match.Value) - 1;
FieldInfo fi = typeof(SqlBulkCopy).GetField("_sortedColumnMappings", BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Instance);
var sortedColumns = fi.GetValue(bc);
var items = (Object[])sortedColumns.GetType().GetField("_items", BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Instance).GetValue(sortedColumns);
FieldInfo itemdata = items[index].GetType().GetField("_metadata", BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Instance);
var metadata = itemdata.GetValue(items[index]);
var column = metadata.GetType().GetField("column", BindingFlags.Public | BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Instance).GetValue(metadata);
var length = metadata.GetType().GetField("length", BindingFlags.Public | BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Instance).GetValue(metadata);
retvalue = String.Format("Column: {0} contains data with a length greater than: {1}", column, length);
Same as above have to show Column name in my error message.
