There are many features available for WindowsCE! I am working on WindowsForms.
I am hardcore C Programmer, I am introduced to C++ because of MFC/Visual Studio to create gui to my back end C program library.
I am switching over from MFC to windows forms as i am informed that WF is easy than MFC. I am learning Windows Form now, and i see examples for VB, C# and C++. I prefer to use C++ as i can manage and understand the same compare to other.
I created Windows Forms project using following options:
File->New->Project->VC++(main option)->Windows Forms Application in Visual Studio 2008 professional edition.
I really dont know whether C# or C++ is used by default by the VS2008 while creating the template!
I looked into this site http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.cursor(VS.71).aspx
my requirement is I wish to change the cursor based on button press inside the text control and back to default on clicking another button. I used following code.

Result: on button4 press, the whole form gets the new cursor. And the focus given to textBox1, with default cursor!
on button5 press, it is not reverting back to default cursor.

I have not used C++ since before the advent of Windows Forms, so I would not venture to attempt to offer you any code snippets.
However speaking in Windows Forms terms, each TextBox instance has its own Cursor property and it is this that needs to be set. If you need to change the cursor for all TextBoxes on a Form/Control you will need to iterate over the Controls property of the Form/Control and test if the control is a TextBox and then set the Cursor property to the desired cursor. Since TextBox inherits the Cursor property from Control there is no need to cast before doing so.
I hope that this helps, but if not perhaps someone with C++ skills will help you.

Does anyone know of an off-the-shelf 4-panel splitcontainer that allows me to resize all 4 panels together? I can acheive something similar by nesting 3 split-containers together like so:

My outer splitContainer is the one with the horizontal split, then then I have 2 vertical splitContainers, one for top and one for bottom, giving me 4 panels. I can resize the 2 top or 2 bottom ones horizontally, or all 4 vertically, but I can't resize all 4 horizontally. What I'd like is something like the above, but I can click on the location where all 4 panels meet and resize them together. I tried searching for "4 way splitcontainer" and "4 panel splitcontainer" but nothing really came up. Everything I've seen involves nesting splitContainers.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

I don't know if you will be able to get it to work exactly as you require, but the TableLayoutPanel with two columns and two rows would get pretty damned close.

I tried the TableLayoutPanel, but it didn't quite give me what I wanted. The layout is fine, but I want to be able to resize the cells using the mouse, just like with the SplitContainer. I checked the documentation and a couple of other forums, and it looks like you can resize whole rows or columns via code, but not the mouse (at least there's no built-in support). I'd like to end up with something like this:

where I click and drag the 'o' the resize all 4 panels simultaneously. I would think someone has already made something like this, but if not I guess I can handle the MouseDown, MouseMove, and MouseUp events to get the effect I want. Any other suggestions?

As you say, I'm sure that someone must have done something like this, but if you are unable to find anything, the Mouse handling route would seem to be the way to go.
When its finished, perhaps you could write an article about it.

So I've finally had some time to work on this a bit more with a co-worker. We implemented the MouseDown, MouseMove, and MouseUp events to handle resizing rows and columns in the TableLayoutPanel, and for the most part it works well. Still having some resize issues when the form resizes to keep the cells right (we're using Absolute size, maybe need to switch to Percent). Might be an article in it, have to check company policy since it was written specifically for work.

I've actually already done that (with the nested split-containers). It will do for now, but I'd still like a way to resize all 4 panels in any direction at the same time. As far as I know, just working with nested split-containers doesn't quite get me there. The other suggestions on the TableLayoutPanel look promising though.

I have a FolderListBox from MSVB namespace, and I want to change the root directory.
An example:
It is displayed like: C:\Users\Example\Documents\Spreadsheets. I want it to display like \Documents\Spreadsheets. If you can do this with with the FolderListBox or the wonderful ExplorerTree by Quartz.

There are no physical modems connected to my PC, but I still need to allow the Dialler to dial numbers. To do this, I need to create a virtual modem and display it in device manager.
Could anyone elaborate on the process ?

Look at the Process class and just launch the command line "EXPLORER.EXE driveSpec:". For example "EXPLORER.EXE C:".
