QuestionNewbie Question Regarding Internet Communication Pin

I am inexperienced in VB and have developed a VB version of an old simple turn based game that I used to play on an Apple II 30 years ago. I want to include a capability to communicate between two instances of the application so that small, simple packets of data can be passed between them to allow for the turn's moves and results can be passed between the two instances. The two instances will be on separate networks so I envision internet communications to pass the data.

I have been using Visual Basic Express 2008 and have not been able to locate help or code samples to assist me.

Is this a capability not supported by VB Express 2008?

Is there reference material or examples that might be helpful?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Bubba...
