QuestionIs SoftIce too cold for my computer? Pin

Well another softice problem but this one is a little different
I have Compuware Driver Studio v3.2 that is said to work for xp. during configurations, settings asked to *test* my VGA compatibility and the test was successful with standard VGA display settings. but when I restarted and went to launch softice. It tottally freezes my computer.. Softice is still working though i can do the ctrl+D and everything to get the softice screen but when i do ctrl+D to leave the system is still stalled/frozen; so I am forced to do the HBOOT and hard reset to leave it all to gether, because what good is a debugger when no other program is able to run. i don't know what i could be, that’s why I’m assuming its just too cold for my computer! lol
Any Help please, I'll much oblige.
Thank you.

Ps: What is the NuMega home site or someone I can complain and tell how much Codeproject helped me more then they did?
