Well Apple's IPhone for now is the best.
Nokia is still behind even their new touch screens aren't good enough
so for me they are Prehistoric.
A good follower to the apple is Samsung new touch phone.

I purchased Nokia 5530 in march 2010. It has been to repair thrice and it hasn't even been a year. It has some kind of bug, that it updates time randomly 15 mins to half hour ahead/back. I have updated Symbian OS. It went for while and bug is back. I hate Nokia like never before and looking to buy non-Nokia phone.

Nokia has a hard part to play.
First, it pays to use Windows 7 on its devices.
Second, it has to make its hardware strong enough for resource crunch Windows 7.
Nokia, on other hand, sees this as opportunity, to launch tablet of Windows 7.
Surely, Microsoft has got this opportunity cost-effectively.
Nokia is well-known for its hardware stability compare to other players. All eyes on Nokia now.

I think few years later, Nokia sales hardware, and some other software used in cell phone like Android and Linux and Windows phone.
people can buy hardware and DIY their own cell phone just like people DIY their compatible computer nowadays.

Yes, Why the <b>WinTel</b> (MS & Intel) can not be happened again in Mobile platform ? only difference is the name this time will be <b>WinKia</b>
Personal Computer make Microsoft success , but in mobile platform, MS windows is poor, but with Nokia, everything is possible.
I think this is much possible. I think this is the only chance for MS windows get the TOP position in mobile platform just like they did in PC.
only if Nokia can build the OPEN BUS standard and standard slot interface just like the IBM did in the PC .
and only one Mobile Phone company will refuse to join these standard , its name was , is and will be APPLE.

Surely, you mean where is Nokia?
Here is your answer!

Well, I think that's kinda the point though. This could be a fantastic partnership for both Microsoft and Nokia if they play their cards right.
The stats you hear in the news about Apple and RIM, etc., are all talking about the _smartphone_ market, which is a tiny, tiny fraction of the total market for phones, I think like 6% or thereabouts. Nokia shipped 450 Million phones last year alone, the worldwide total for all mobile phone vendors was 1.3 Billion.
Needless to say they could totally blow it, no question.
Would you feel differently about Windows Phone 7 if it had 250 Million users? I think everyone would.
Again, I think it's a great move for Microsoft and Nokia. They both need what the other's got, and they both need to do something dramatic to get back in the game.

need to have a "who really cares" option as well.

But if folk don't really care, how likely are they to vote?
Just because the code works, it doesn't mean that it is good code.

It doesn't change anything for me - was this really required?
I do not and will not be developing WP7 apps - Fwiw, I went with this.
As a Business Analyst working on Credit Derivatives for an investment bank (owning a Nokia 3120 model from 2004, I might add), I'm probably polluting the sample space here

Sorry, but I don't think Nokia will make any difference to WP7 sales. They lost the smartphone market a long time ago. Their embrace of WP7 is a last desperate attempt of a dying giant.

I heard the same about XBox, that the market was already claimed by Nintendo and Sony, a few years later look at the results, so we should wait and see, WP7 just came out, lets wait until it matures
