If yes, pls configurate your web config.
Nothing to install any software to the another pc.

You have to install .net framework, iis and sql server in one pc

my site has database.
while running it is giving the code of my Home.aspx page.
Also tell me how to install .net framework?
i developed my site using asp.net v2.0.

Hi,

Few days ago I posted my problem in the forum and even after long discussion no conclusion was arrived. Now i came to know that problem was beacuse of I.E. 8
and after clikcing on the Compatibilty View button to support earlier versions such problem can be overcome.
But i want to know how to make IE8 compatible applications so that such issues cant arise.
Abhijit, Yusuf or anyone else any idea about this.

i have a table with fiELds
pARTICULARS , MA, ME, MD, MV, MF, MP (CHAR 1)

plastics e d
rubber a e d v f p

this table is displayed in a grid

i need to disable that cell of the grid which is blank
at present i have

i execute the query with a datareader
For I = 0 To grid1.Rows.Count - 1

qry="select particulars from table"

if datareader("ma")="" then
disable the cell
end if

if datareader("me")="" then
disable the cell
end if

if datareader("md")="" then
disable the cell
end if

next

i am not getting the desired thing . how do i exceute it

How you are binding to gridview, means what am asking is are you using any itemtemplate inside gridview ???????????????

Posting value from one page to another

Hello friends, I want to post one value from one form to another ..I added that value to session and tried to get the session value. I got the value in another page and assigned it to textbox control. but the textbox did not display it. If i refresh the page again textbox display the value? Is there any other solution for posting value from one page to other?

How did you assigned the value to the textbox control, and most important when (where in your code)? Please provide the snippet of your code where you assign the value to the control.

Hmmm, seems quite right to me. Maybe you should check for a postback before:

in your webform1

session("id")= textbox1.text

in your webform2

textbox2.text = session("id")

yes i have already written this code.

Do one thing take the Session value in variable first and then test with break points. I think your if condition is not working correctly.

Thanks..I debug the code the value is getting assigned to the textbox correctly..but not displaying..may be viewstate is not refreshed. Is there any solution for this?

Amit viewstate or any such thing has no relevance with this.
Just put another textbox and try with that as now i cant find anything wrong in it.

Did you try to google for this?

What you can do is to use HttpServerUtility.UrlEncode or if you want to encrypt the query string have a look here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/de-de/library/zttxte6w.aspx[^]

I tried EncodeUrl() function earlier, but when i Decode that i cud'nt get the querystring , Plz tell me how to decode the querystring.

There is a method called HttpServerUtility.UrlDecode. Maybe you give it a try...

Hi, query string is a variable that you can pass to another webform

like this

in your webform1

button event: response.redirect("webform2.aspx?VAR=" & textbox1.text)

if you want to get the your variable

Webform2 load event: textbox1.text = request.querystring("VAR")

Hi,
There is a browser issue between IE / Firefox

Actaully i have one javascript method like this,

if (text == "")
{
alert("Enter Text Value");
text.focus();
return false;
}

but focus is not working in Mozilla but in IE is perfect. If any one knows plz answer me..
