I think you can set the datasource of a crystal report to a dataset file.

Try googling dataset and crystal report data source.

i have candidates in rad grid view in page(in rad grid view i am not using link against which i can call javascript mehod.) A.aspx.
when a user clicked on any candidate, at selecting index changed event full information of that candidate opened in another web page B.aspx in a new window. now i wanted that user can't open that candidate's information again in another new window untill instance of B.aspx(page containing full information of that candidate ) closed .
user can open multiple candidates Information in instances of B.aspx in new windows .
i want those candidates information will not opene again if their information is already opened in an instance of B.aspx until their respective page has been closed.
but i couldnt understand and find how A.aspx page can determine that candidate's respective instance of B.aspx has been closed
Please help me:

Create a serializable object. Before the page closes store all the information in that object and store it in Session.

Then you can reference the session object on the parent page. Also, put code in the parent page to set the session object to null when you are finished with it.

you need javascript to capture the closing of window. The DOM has onunload event you can attach a function to

< body onunload="performClosing()" >

Then you need to write js code to do what ever you want.

you need few things. First off, you need fair amount of javascript code.

I am assuming you know how to open the link in new window. In the new window page

add onunload to your html body tag, so it looks like

<body onunload="performClosing()"></body>

then you will need to write a code for your method

function performClosing()
{
  alert('inside performClosing....');
}

finally, you said you want to open the link only once, for this you need onClick event, in that you need to disable the link, then when you close the popup you need to re-enable it.

well, what you want to do is seems doable to me, but that involves a good deal of code.

here is how I would do it. In the page A, you need to track which items are selected (have their corresponsing info showing in B). FOr this I will keep an array and set the state as I open the link in B. When B is closed, I listed to the onunload event and return back A a status through window.opener. The rest is straight forward.

Sara:My actual problem start from "When B is closed".i couldnt understand how "A" comes to know that "B" is closed as both are opened in two seprate windows.
Does B has some info about a if yes then what?
and i never use windows.opener, does there is some solution on server side script ie C#.

I have a placeholder control in my form,in which I am generating 4 radio buttons dynamically. Everything is working fine and I am getting the values also.

The issue is all the radio buttons are displaying in one line, that is horizontally. Is there any way that I can set them as vertically while generating? The UI looks weird because of this.

Anybody have any idea? D'Oh! | :doh:

I have a solution containing about 5 projects. One of these is "CommonClass" witch contains a class User with a public property ReportName. In my web site i check this property on an user object (if (usr.ReportName) ...) Intellisens works on the property, and when i right click and "go to definition" i go to the correct file and definiton. However when i build i get the following error:

'Project.CommonClass.User' does not contain a definition for 'ReportName'
How can i fix this error?
I'm re-sending this message as it is very urgent to find the solution. YOur help is really appreciated

Hi.

I am having trouble with .NET asp page written with C#. I am starting new thread from my web page and inside that I am running .dtsx(Sql Server Integration Services) package.
I dont know if this should be posted here but I though that this would at least be place to start. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Any way. The problem is that no matter what I do the package I run uses default time format(the one used when installing the server maybe?). It is in US format and I would like to use Finnish one.

What I have tried to fix the problem:
-Change CultureInfo and CulturureUIInfo for current and new threads. Success yes. But the package still uses US format.
-Changed culture to webconfig. No effect. Changed culture in Aspx page. No effect.
-Changed International (Default Regional if I understood correctly) settings to Finnish. Used this for help: Changing Server Core's Look and Feel, Part 1 [^]
- Changed date formats for all users to be correct using regedit. Even searched all registeration values for wrong date format. Didn't find any after I had manually changed them.
-Changed IIS configuration. At least some parts. Found one place where date format was still wrong.

NOTHING helps.

When I run my package using DTSEXEC it works fine.
When I run it using web page it does not.
