Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask my question, but it involves Flash and .net.

I need to drag small images and place them over a larger image such that they blend well and look like one image. This image then needs to be saved in the database (SQL Server). Later this image needs to be fetched from the db and displayed in the format it was saved earlier. I am new to flash and have no clues how to go about this.

The site is developed in .net and the database used is SQL Server and the above described functionality needs to be developed using Flash/Ajax/Javascript.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm trying to build a sitemap so users can follow the path.
My issue is that I can have multiple same landing pages of categories under different industries or products.
Here is a sample of my sitemap:

So it won't create an error? Would also not be efficient for programming.

We have a webservice that seemed to be doing fine until it wasn't - and we are having a @@#$!! of a time figuring out what happened.

We added "better" caching in and were fairly confident it was caching when it was supposed to and expiring when it was supposed to.

The question is: how to do better upfront testing? How do you best go about stress testing your app before it embarasses you?

There are many tools out there. I have used WebLoad[^] and it worked well for me.

asp.net does not have Image Listbox. you can write your own though!

Checking the fail status of windows service

How can we check the failure of windows service programatically. I have a windows service that elapses every 5 minutes and I need to check if the service is failed then restart it automatically in my code. I googled but I couldnt find the Failed Status for the windows service.

Any ideas please!

Wrap your main method in try/catch blocks. So you can handle *all* exceptions. BTW, this question has nothing to do with ASP.NET. Plese post in the correct forum next time.

Well, first you need to handle all possible failures in your application.

Windows Services can perform some actions when it fails. Looks at Services windows in the recovery tab. One of the option is 'Restart the service'

Before you go head and select this, mind the consequence of your action. If there is something in your app or data that is thrown an exception, and it repeats every time the service starts, you will end up chasing your tail. Blush | :O

Good Day all

Am using Ultragridweb on .NET 2.0. I want to have a multiselect on the grid cells and save it in a Arraylist. So far this is what i did

When i try to do Multi select it brings me only the last value i selected.

I have two dropdownlists. on change of first dropdownlist javascript function is called inside which another dropdownlist is disabled. But when the selectedindex changed of first dropdownlist is called second dropdownlist is not disabled.

How i can disable the second dropdownlist.

Have you debugged through this to see what is not happening?

Use Ctrl+Left/Right to switch messages, Ctrl+Up/Down to switch threads, Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to switch pages.
