I found a source for the AllWinner H616 SoC
Allwinner H616 (sun50iw9p1) is a SoC that features a Quad-Core Cortex-A53 ARM CPU, and a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU from ARM.
The H616 is "targeted towards TV boxes and SBCs with the Mali-G31, better video encoding/decoding hardware and more efficient power consumption" (wiki), but it happens to have the features we need for most of our user facing stuff (UI/UX/inputs), and is modestly priced @ $12 USD - cheaper in bulk
We're going from 512kB of RAM to 512MB of RAM
We're going from FreeRTOS to (probably) Armbian Linux, or perhaps ZephyrOS depending
We're going from dual core typically 160MHz (up to 240), to quad core 1GHz
We're going from SPI and i8080 16-bit displays to True Color HDMI
This is a game changer for me professionally.
Expect a flurry of articles on developing for banana boards starting sunday or monday. *knock on wood*

The main reason I'm using the Orange Pi Zero2 is it uses an AllWinner H616 which is relatively easy to source, and the board has schematics.

There are so many logical stages.
Two or three rocket stages to get into the orbit.
A stage to get to the moon and settle on the moons orbit, that makes the mother spaceship.
The moon landing ship with a rocket stage to get back to the ship in the orbit when the moon exploration is over.
A stage to get back to Earthβs orbit
A stage to plunge into the Earthβs atmosphere and land on the ground or in the sea.
Thatβs so many physical bodies.

A stage for the returning heroes to stand on and accept the adoration of the assembled masses.

In that case I think the main stage belongs to the people on the ground who made the mission possible.

Yeah, well no. For Apollo 11, 12 and 14 missions, the astronauts went into a 3 week quarantine after returning, just in case.
Though they might have had a stage to stand on after that. I think maybe that would have been somewhat anti-climactic for the astronauts, though.

For the last few days we've spotted a young Barred Owlet on a tree not 20 feet from our front door.
We spotted a large opening in the tree, it's been dropping limbs for a while now and I had considered taking it down but since spotting the owlett[^] I think I'll leave it. Th3y are known to use the same nest for many years, so until it gets unusable I'll leave it.
It's been sitting on a limb not far from the opening and today it's started doing the I wanna fly dance. The parents have been coming around but they are more weary of us and fly away when we approach.
Pretty neat watching the young owlet get ready for a new life.

Great Horned Owls nest in a pine tree in a park near us.
We went and checked on their progress last evening and saw that the two youngins are venturing a bit from the nest. One was on a branch it must have flown to.

Cool! We have a pair that nest somewhere near our house (within a 1/4 mile I'd guess). I don't know where exactly but we hear them hooting to each other all the time. They day hunt as well when raising their young so we hear them during the day too. In the summer I always sleep with the window open to hear all the night sounds.

They've been real vocal the last couple of weeks and now we know why.

It's awesome when you get to witness things like that. We had a dove nesting in a hanging planter right outside our door when our son was very young. Every day he'd want to know how the chicks were doing and I'd have to hold him high enough to see them. It was amazing to see how fast they grew, my son still remembers this fondly, as do I.
